ENGINEERING THE FAST LANE
A collection of the moments and opportunities that have shaped my engineering journey beyond the projects.

2025 — 2026
WILLIAMS F1 TEAM
Turning ideas, surfaces and concepts into real-world, on-track components.
My first real experience within a Formula One team came during my Year in Industry at Williams F1, as part of my Mechanical Engineering degree. I owned performance-critical components from concept to track across gearbox, chassis, floor, wing and suspension assemblies. My work spanned composite definition, Class-A drawings, plybooks, GD&T and parametric design, collaborating with Aerodynamics, Structures and Manufacturing to meet performance, weight, cost and timing targets. I also gained exposure to ATLAS telemetry, linking real-world component loads and vehicle behaviour back to engineering decisions, alongside supporting FIA regulatory documentation.

2023 — 2025
WARWICK MOTO
Taking motorcycle components from concept and CAD through to manufacture and competition.
As part of Warwick Moto, I led the design and delivery of two electric motorcycles for the MotoStudent competition, taking ownership of projects from composite fairings to battery integration. Balancing engineering, leadership and project management meant countless late nights, tight deadlines and plenty of CAD crashes. Seeing it all come together — and racing the bike at MotorLand Aragón — made it worthwhile, culminating in 7th out of 42 international teams for CAD quality and prototype delivery.
PEOPLE · OPPORTUNITY · DEVELOPMENT
2024 — 2025
ASTON MARTIN F1 × ALETO FOUNDATION
An opportunity to experience Formula One beyond the engineering alone.
Being selected as one of just 14 delegates for the Aston Martin F1 × Aleto Foundation programme gave me a different perspective on Formula One. Conversations with engineers, industry professionals and senior leadership offered valuable insight into their journeys and challenges, while presentations and team activities pushed me outside my comfort zone, building my confidence, communication and understanding of the people behind an F1 team.

McLAREN 60 SCHOLARS
More than engineering — the people and opportunities around it.
Being selected as one of the McLaren 60 Scholars gave me the opportunity to learn from professionals across McLaren Racing and its partners, while connecting with a diverse STEM network. Through mentorship, development events and time at the McLaren Technology Centre, I gained new perspectives on engineering, career development and the importance of continually developing my skills beyond university.

RAENG: ENGINEERING LEADERS SCHOLAR
Developing as an engineer. Growing as a leader.
Awarded the prestigious Engineering Leaders Scholarship by the Royal Academy of Engineering, recognising my potential to develop as a future leader within engineering. It represents an opportunity to continue developing not only as an engineer, but also as a leader — building the confidence, perspective and skills to take on greater challenges and make a meaningful contribution to the engineering industry.

2022 — 2023
WARWICK RACING
Building, learning and competing as part of a team.
Warwick Racing gave me the opportunity to take ownership of aerodynamic development, progressing concepts from initial ideas through CAD, analysis and manufacture. Working within a student-led team taught me to balance aerodynamic performance with practical design constraints, take responsibility for engineering decisions and, most importantly, learn by doing.

ASTON MARTIN WORKS
Exploring the engineering behind an iconic automotive heritage.
Visiting Aston Martin Works gave me a first-hand look at the craftsmanship and attention to detail behind some of Aston Martin’s most iconic cars. Conversations with engineers and women from across Aston Martin and its Formula One team gave me the opportunity to hear about their journeys, experiences and challenges within the industry. Seeing that passion first-hand, alongside the drive to increase female representation within engineering and motorsport, further strengthened my ambition to build my own career in the sport.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT
SILVERSTONE EVENT
One of my first opportunities to connect with the motorsport industry — and help others see a place for themselves within it.
Attending Dare to be Different at Silverstone was one of my first opportunities to connect with the motorsport industry. Speaking with Susie Wolff and Claire Williams gave me the confidence to pursue a career in the sport, regardless of the obstacles, while sharing my own F1 in Schools experience allowed me to encourage the next generation of young women into STEM and motorsport.

2018 — 2019
F1 IN SCHOOLS
One of the first places engineering and motorsport came together.
Competing in F1 in Schools gave me my first opportunity to apply engineering within a fast-paced, competitive environment. I began as Resource Manager and Design & Manufacturing Engineer, contributing to the development and manufacture of our car as we progressed to the National Finals. I later became Team Manager, taking greater responsibility for coordinating the team and developing my leadership, communication and decision-making under pressure. Beyond the technical challenge, I helped secure over £4,000 in sponsorship and resources, while mentoring younger girls and encouraging greater participation in STEM and the competition.
SAME PASSION. DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES.
